<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article discusses the possibilities and limits of using digital technologies that have been adopted by European countries to solve the tasks of collecting and processing data for recording and monitoring migration flows in the EU. The dynamic growth of migration in the world has raised the question of the need for rapid access to a large amount of data to solve social, economic, and political issues. Current trends in migration form a request for automated data collection and the possibility of using them to predict people’s movement. At the end of the article, the author concludes the effectiveness of adapting information and communication technologies to solve EU migration policy issues.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>миграция</kwd><kwd>цифровые технологии</kwd><kwd>учет</kwd><kwd>мониторинг</kwd><kwd>прогнозирование</kwd><kwd>большие данные</kwd><kwd>социальные сети</kwd><kwd>геолокация</kwd><kwd>цифровой след</kwd><kwd>миграционная политика</kwd><kwd>ЕС</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>migration</kwd><kwd>digital technologies</kwd><kwd>accounting</kwd><kwd>monitoring</kwd><kwd>forecasting</kwd><kwd>big data</kwd><kwd>social networks</kwd><kwd>geo-location</kwd><kwd>digital footprint</kwd><kwd>migration policy</kwd><kwd>EU</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Статья подготовлена по результатам исследований, выполненных за счет бюджетных средств по государственному заданию Финуниверситету.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The article was prepared based on the results of studies carried out at the expense of budget funds on a state assignment to the Financial University.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Hilbert M.
